Why use this tool?
Grade Calculator does two things students actually search for: turning a raw score into a percentage and letter grade, and working backward from a target grade to find out how many questions you can afford to miss.
How it works
- Switch to the mode you need — Score to Grade, or Target Grade to Max Misses.
- Enter your numbers.
- Read the result, plus the standard grading scale for reference.
Frequently asked questions
What grading scale does this use?The common US scale: 90–100 A, 80–89 B, 70–79 C, 60–69 D, below 60 F. Some schools use different cutoffs, so check your syllabus if it matters.
How is 'max misses' calculated? It finds the minimum number of correct answers needed to reach your target percentage, then subtracts that from the total to get your miss allowance.
Does it support weighted grades across multiple assignments? Not yet — this version handles a single test or assignment at a time.
